  1. Consistency!!!!!!! This is the key !!!! I had a gastric sleeve ! I lost 44kg , I gained 10kg do to my sugar craving and stop exercising 😩! So I decided to just cut unhealthy sugar and to exercise 3 to 4 times / week ! I lost 2.5kg / week ! I knew that I will loose it easily cause of my gastric sleeve! But after 1 week I stopped and got back to my bad habits !!!!! It is all about Consistency!!!! πŸ₯²πŸ₯²

  2. Great advice Lucy, thank you. Something I do to stay motivated in all areas of my life is to use Google Calendar. I downloaded it from the app store. It is easy to use and I've linked it to my laptop and my mobile. I find the ability to plan ahead on it e.g. days, weeks, months in advance keeps me from procrastinating and it makes me get up and do what I need to do. I also follow Amy Landino on YouTube who talks a lot about Google Calendar. Thank you again Lucy πŸ™‚ xx

    I just wanna ask what specific things do you do to keep you motivated? I tried exercising for the first few months of quarantine. I lose some weight at first but when I consistently do exercises, my weight kinda maintain or gained some weight which eventually made me lose my motivation to lose weight. Now, I gained some much more weight and I'm currently obese. I really need to lose some weight this time since we are going back to school in a few months 😬
    Just want to hear something from you that might help me be motivated. By the way, I'm from Philippines who really thinks that you're so beautiful πŸ’—

  5. My personal advice would be: donβ€˜t rely on motivation, instead be disciplined and practice this disciplin. Build habits and in the beginning donβ€˜t make exceptions at all costs (except youβ€˜re sick or so obviously) because if you make one exception you canβ€˜t justify why you wonβ€˜t do it again. Later, when it actually is as effortless as brushing your teeth, you can make exceptions because then you should be disciplined enough so that you can count on yourself to get back on track immediately.

  8. Be realistic is such great advice! Before I was completely sedentary and eating all takeout (sometimes twice in one day) there was one time that I hadn't had a veggie in weeks. So I started doing some cardio and cooking at home and I have seen results because I've been consistent! It's not all or nothing you just have to be able to stick to it!

  10. I always avoided diets because I thought I wouldn't be able to eat pizza or pancakes. Diet plan I got from Agoge Diet allows me to have cheat meals and still keep my fitness journey on track. If you don't believe me, visit their site and try it yourself.

  13. She makes a really good point. If you put on 5 pounds in a month you would feel terrible about it. But if you lose 5 pounds in a month you dont think its all that great. Why not? Its fallacious thinking. Magnifying the negative and minimizing the positive. If something is bad then the opposite is good of the same magnitude. And you should feel great about it.

  14. This was the first video I came across after searching for weightloss motivation. Since lockdown I’ve gained what I imagine is probably about 3 stone (2/3 dress sizes). I’ve become a prisoner in a body I don’t recognise and I’m struggling to really stick to any kind of routine. I found your video super helpful and inspiring so I’m filled with a renewed sense of purpose and will probably rewatch when I have a lull! Thanks for making this video x

  15. The company you keep section is so true. I had to have a really serious conversation with my husband a few weeks ago because I suggested we have a stir fry for dinner and suddenly he went on a rant about how "obsessive" I'd gotten about food and fitness. I've just been slowly increasing physical activity and slowly changing my diet to be healthier over the last 4 months. It's all good now but it's interesting when you're feeling great but it's threatening to other people.

  16. I really love this video, thank you so much! The only thing I don't 100% agree with is tracking. I think this is a personality thing but there is quite a lot of research showing that regular tracking can really aid weight loss.

  17. I've started training in the gym a little over a week ago… and I feel great. I've lost 1kg, and people have been telling me that I am glowing. I've been fat all my life… not as much as now, but I was big… than my dad died in 2014 and I started eating like crazy… I couldn't stop. Even when I was feeling sick, I would continue eating. And than my boyfriend died 2 years later, and that ruined me… I started eating more and more, wasn't active at all… now I've decided to change… I started going to the gym to look better… now I do it because it feels amazing. After a workout, I feel refreshed, full of energy and I am happier, stronger. My diet is way healthier now, and I love to cook for myself. ^^
